Caroline Hancock

Caroline Hancock is an independent curator, writer, editor and translator based in Paris. Between 1998 and 2009, she worked at the Centre Pompidou and MAMVP/ARC in Paris, Tate Modern and the Hayward Gallery in London, and the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) in Dublin. In 2008, she was awarded the Joanna Drew Travel Bursary to research in Algeria. She is a member of AICA and regularly writes on modern and contemporary art. She is currently preparing a book about Joanna Drew and the transformation of the British art scene between the 1950s to the 1990s (publication July 2018).

In December 2017, she curated Ootobong Nkanga. The Breath From Fertile Grounds, Temple Bar Gallery + Studios, Dublin
