Monday January 27, we had a study trip to the Kunstenbibliotheek, Ghent, which holds together the collections of the HISK, KASK, S.M.A.K., Design Museum Gent, STAM and Gentse Gidsen.

Art editor and historian Els Roelandt talked about the progressive new directives for the acquisition of contemporary visual art and theory publications as well as the public projects she is responsible for.

Next, Katia Ballegeer, art historian and archivist of the special collection, presented us a selection of artist’s books and the ”1m3” vitrine exhibition - then curated by Oriol Vilanova on books revolving around Sol LeWitt.
