Ariane Loze presents 7 films. The title of the exhibition can literally be heard in one of these films. It also contains a reference to the French poet Stéphane Mallarmé, and to Marcel Broodthaers (who also featured these words in a film). Mallarmé strove to reach the highest echelons of the imagination, 'beyond' everything and everyone. But he came to the realisation that this was only possible by starting again and again from the basic, concrete matter with which he created. The tension between matter and imagination, the 'here and now' and the possible, the particular and the general, also forms a guideline in Ariane Loze's oeuvre, and became the starting point for the selection of the 7 films.
