Hadassa Ngamba. Configurations

Hadassa Ngamba, 2021
Hadassa Ngamba, 2021

The work of Hadassa Ngamba (1993) consists of paintings, drawings, photography, video, installations and performance. In her work she refers to the imbalance in Congolese society and the distressing social and environmental issues in the DRC through the use of materials that symbolise the strategic, capitalist rule over raw materials in her motherland. In her sculptures, installations and performances she tries to challenge systemic inequalities by referring to elements from (colonial) history, religion, dreams, cartography and the body.
