Wim Waelput

Wim Waelput is the director of La Loge, a Brussels-based space dedicated to contemporary art, architecture and theory. Previously, he was the founding director and curator at KIOSK (2006-2020) in Ghent, where he has curated over 40 exhibitions with artists such as Leonor Antunes, Katinka Bock, Ulla von Brandenburg, Latifa Echakhch, Shilpa Gupta and Vincent Meessen. He curated with Nataša Petrešin-Bachelez Show me the archive and I will tell you who is in power (2017), an exhibition and public program that traces the beginnings of a transnational and intersectional perspective in Belgian feminism and beyond. At BOZAR in Brussels he curated in collaboration with Igor Mocanu, Perspectives (2019), a group exhibition looking at Romanian art against the backdrop of broader social and political themes. He is member of the acquisition committee of the collection of the Flemish Community. He has been a guest lecturer at various universities and art schools and he has been a member of several juries and advisory boards.
