Diane Lima

Diane Lima is a São Paulo-based independent curator and researcher from Mundo Novo (BA), with an MA in Communication and Semiotics in PUC-SP. She carries out multidisciplinary curatorial practices in a decolonial perspective. Currently part of the curatorial team of the 3rd edition of Frestas - Triennial of Arts (2020- São Paulo) and since 2018 of Valongo International Image Festival (Do not wait for me on the retina - 2018 / The best of the journey is the delay - 2019). From January to March 2019 she curated the PlusAfrot Residence at Villa Waldberta and the collective exhibition Lost Body - displacement as choreography, both projects in Germany. Other actions include the two years program Absent Dialogues (Itaú Cultural - 2016/17) that culminated in the homonymous exhibitions in the cities of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro and the participation of the Art Critics Group of the CCSP-Centro Cultural São Paulo (2018).
