Senior curator Zoë Gray received us at WIELS and spoke about the exhibition programme and its conception, the selection of artists, the collaboration with them, the cultural and political context, the art residency and more. She also gave us an introduction to Thao Nguyen Phan’s solo exhibition. We did a tour to Wolfgang Tillmans’ first solo in Belgium.
Next, general director Niels Van Tomme introduced us the new directives undertaken at ARGOS, the programme with new collaborations, the curated bookshop, the “media annex(e)” and the possibility to watch its vast audiovisual collection, the distribution of works, etc.
We were also received by HISK laureate 2019 Roel Heremans. He presented us a series of three of his Duets, which are shown in the “23 Quai du Commerce, 1080/1000 Bruxelles” group exhibition at ARGOS.
