What my body knew and forgot to tell me

What my body knew and forgot to tell me
Emma Keppens, What my body knew and forgot to tell me, 2021

What my body knew and forgot to tell me is an exhibition that explores forms of knowing through the body. Seven artists, who share a common trust in the sensorial and the non-rational as a generator for their practice, were invited to make site specific work at Kunstenhuis in Harelbeke. The exhibition calls attention to the physical knowledge hiding underneath the surface, often remaining untouched. By taking a step back from the frequent focus on the verbal, we invite you to sense and embrace what your body knows but your mind cannot formulate.

With Anaïs Chabeur, Maikel De Greve, Thuy Lê Thi Thu, Sander Misplon, Fieke Ruitinga, Juliane Schreiber and Bram Van Breda.

Curated by Camille Bladt and Margo Veeckman.
