Raffaella Crispino. Circles of Songs

Circle singing is at the heart of the Circles of Songs performance created by artist Raffaella Crispino. For two hours, the public is invited to join freely and for as long as they want in the sung improvisations directed by three experienced choir leaders: Liévine Hubert, Tom Mannaerts and Baptiste Vaes. Sharing the same tune during an encounter between people who do not know each other and creating complicity through rehearsals stripped of all cultural references are at the heart of this spontaneous collective singing. Throughout this performance, which invites us to experience a different way of living together, bodies and choirs will unfurl in the Horta Hall, forming and deconstructing in turn the symbol of the Third Paradise by Michelangelo Pistoletto.
