Hannah Mevis will share her current research on the topic of exhaustion, which started in 2021, with the question: "What sculptures must feel like holding the same position throughout a life time?" Hannah takes this question as a tool to investigate into physical states of exhaustion and to challenge bodily perception. There will be an introduction on the physical and (art-) historical research, a moment of collective exhaustion, and finally the invitation to exchange on the individual experiences and to gossip in its original and forgotten meaning: to exchange in a safe environment with friends. This will also be the moment for Sina Hensel to join in and talk about how modes of exhaustion are articulated through colour by non-human agents such as plants or microalgae.
