Although my artistic practice can be defined as film or video, I rather view my work as audiovisual compositions. During my film education I started to collect image and sound recordings in my hometown Erpe-Mere - a rural village in Flanders. I try to compose these image and sound recordings in such a way that the present and past, dream consciousness and waking consciousness, the actual and the virtual melt into each other as if they were part of one and the same stream.
