On the invitation of KAAP we created The Nightshift, an installation at the Diksmuide attic of the old Sint-Janshospital Museum in Bruges. In the 15th century one part served as a storage space for the hospital and the other as a residence for the Sisters until they moved to the adjoining convent. As the main caretakers of the hospital they were Mothers of all, yet Mothers of none. What’s the correlation between an artistic practice and motherhood?
