On Wednesday 16 March 2022, HISK went on a study trip to Tournai, Villeneuve-d'Asq and Tourcoing, organised by HISK curator Luk Lambrecht.

In Tournai, we visited Open Field in Musée des Beaux-Arts Tournai. As a part of the Europalia Trains&Tracks festival, Musée des Beaux-Arts invited HISK laureate Raffaella Crispino to question the collection and offer a new perspective on the museum's architecture.

In Villeneuve-d'Asq we continued our trip with a visit to Musée LaM where we discussed the museum and its politics in relation to art today with Jeanne-Bathilde Lacourt (curator for modern art) and Christophe Boulanger (associate curator for art brut). We visited Agnes Thurnauer's exhibition A comme Boa as well.

Last stop of our trip was Le Fresnoy. There, we visited the exhibition Jusque-là (co-production with the Pinault Collection) and enjoyed a guided tour at the studios of Le Fresnoy. The title of the exhibition Jusque-là refers to a work by the Chilean artist Enrique Ramirez, who was hosted by the Pinault Collection's artist residency in Lens and was involved in the design of the exhibition.
