The exhibition as part of the Textile Festival, as for every 2-year edition, explores the various expressions of textiles in contemporary arts. For this edition, in collaboration with the non-profit organisation Living Lace, the choice was made to take 'lace' as the focus.

The scope of the exhibition The Hidden Side of Lace will be very broad and will include both works of art composed of lace matter, but also chooses visual artists who, through sculptures, installations, paintings, drawings, videos ... show an affinity with lace in a narrow or broad sense. This time, the exhibition will be presented in an art trail with surprising (historical) locations in Ronse.

Besides works by participating artists, there will also be art objects on display from the collections of S.M.A.K. (Ghent), M HKA (Antwerp) and Mu.ZEE (Ostend). Within the trail, there will also be an area where textile works by students from some Flemish art academies, including KAVA of course, and from lace associations will be shown.
