This exhibition develops from a long running conversation between Harlan Levey and SCAD Museum of Art curator DJ Hellerman about being at home while far from home, of returning home in the knowledge that it’s no longer your home. The exhibition brings together international artists working through ideas of migration, placemaking, disconnection and individuality, geopolitics and myth making, to explore personal, public and political conceptions of home … as a place of affections, as a failed idea, as a tender haunting.
Featuring works from Ella de Burca, Marcin Dudek, TR Ericsson, Aziz Hazara, James Yaya Hough, Ella Littwitz, Vivienne Koorland & Emmanuel Van der Auwera.
