Advisors

From January 2021, the HISK's operation will be led by an artistic advisory committee and several curators.
The artistic advisory committee is tasked with recommending the curators and guest lecturers, and rethinking the artistic-educational functioning of the HISK.
The artistic advisory committee consists of professionals from the art world, artists, art critics and curators familiar with the HISK or with higher art education in general.

For the period 2021 - 2023 the Board of Directors has appointed five advisory committee members.

  • Guy Bovyn. Head of education and chairman of the department of theory at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp
  • Mark Cloet. Visual artist
  • Ilse Dauwe. Administrator of the FPS Foreign Affairs Art Collection
  • Ariane Loze. Video and performance artist and HISK alumna
  • Koen van den Broek. Painter and HISK alumnus

The advisory committee is appointed for a period of 3 years and meets annually for approximately 3 full days (spread out throughout the year). The advisory committee makes proposals to the Board of Directors, which takes the final decisions.
