Predikherenkerk, Onze-Lieve-Vrouwstraat, 3000 Leuven (BE)
Renato Nicolodi, Ruben Bellinkx
'The Divided Body' tells stories about the body, expands definitions and strikes at the heart of the crossroad between life and death. The architecture of the Dominican Church in Leuven can actually be interpreted as an assembled body. In addition to the nave and the sacristy, the dormitory is also being used to exhibit artworks by renowned artists and young talents. The church excels in its monumentality and it has a fascinating history: it is the ducal sepulchre of Duke Henry III and his wife Aleidis of Burgundy.
