For her solo exhibition "Uncertainty and Ground Conditions", Sara Bjarland will show two new series of sculptures in the impressive space of the Academy Kortrijk where DASH is housed. In addition, there will be a slide projection with samples of materials from the artist's rich archive. The projection fits in seamlessly with the first monographic book of the artist with the title 'Groundwork', published by Art Paper Editions (Ghent), which will also be available at DASH during the exhibition.

LANDSCAPES 2.0 is a course along Art and game design at 5 locations in the city of Kortrijk.
Its all about creation at the interface between tradition and innovation, between craftsmanship and art. Inspired by the masterpieces of the city of Kortrijk's painting collection, students from the renowned game design school DAE, designed a series of new interactive environments. These are confronted with multimedia installations by contemporary artists working on similar themes and techniques.
Sara Bjarland is shortlisted for the Below Zero 2020 Finnish Art Prize together with four other Finnish artists.
This unique art prize in the United Kingdom is for Finnish emerging artists from the international art scene. The prize returns to the Beaconsfield Gallery in Vauxhall, London in collaboration with the Finnish Institute in London.
The winner of the Below Zero 2020 receives a substantial prize of 15.000 £ for production costs. This year the theme is "Resilient Futures".
