Francesco Bernardelli freelance curator based in Turin (IT), graduated in Filmic Studies, has written about time-based media, visual arts and experimental music and organized audio/visual programmes, performance and talks series. He has taken care of the film&video programs for Castello di Rivoli Contemporary Art Museum (1999 - 2005), developing specific screening series devoted to the relations between visual arts and moving images (also in joint project with the Turin National Film Museum). He has recently catalogued the video collections of Castello di Rivoli, and published essays on historical video art, early performance, and post-modern dance. Recent projects include the artists' performance series Split Subjects (De Appel, Amsterdam, 2005), Figures of Excess (Beursschouwburg, Brussels, 2006), Sculptures in an Extended Field (Outline+Agentur, Amsterdam, 2007) and the video festival VIDEOit (Turin - Milan, 2007-'09).
