Interactive installation with remote controlled zeppelin, wireless camera, projector, projection screen.
Variable dimensions, 2008
Installation view: Coastomize and other mixed realities, Velzeke, Belgium, 2008
In an abandoned brick factory flies a romote controlled zeppelin. Under the flying vehicle a small wireless camera is attatched and films the interior of the atelier. The viewer is able to control the filming by steering the zeppelin.
On a large screen mounted in the same atelier the result of the visual expedition is projected. The idea is to experiment with point of view. The person controlling the zeppelin will enjoy an additional angle on reality. Being in the space while looking at the screen the visitor will travel with "his" extra eye where the body doesn't follow him.
