‘What is it worth?’
On 4 March, Cadine Navarro invites us to take the time to question our value system, at the forefront of public attention in an ever more fragile economy, and to consider the huge potential contained in a single seed, the source of life. Over the course of an evening of reflection and exploration, timeless and without borders, her performance will push us to ask ourselves questions about this transition.
KIKI, is one of two plantable golden paintings in the ING Art Collection: one is on show at the exhibition Love. Hate. Debate. The other is growing in the garden at Marnix.
KIKI will be the starting point for the performance on March 4th, when there is an opportunity to deal somatically with notions of value brought up by the work.
More specifically, we will be connecting with the seeds that are kept safely beneath the 24kt gold leaf on the surface of the monochromes. In order to do this, the artist Cadine Navarro invites you to join in a test of endurance, guided by the breath, that will help us to understand the life force of the seed, and of ourselves.
The performance will be in English, however all are encouraged to join. Please note that it is advised not to eat too much just before the performance.
