Team BRAVOURE is representing Belgium at the15th Biennale Architettura 2016 in Venice. BRAVOURE consists of 3 components: architecten de vylder vinck taillieu, doorzon interieur architecten and photographer/artist Filip Dujardin. The main theme of this edition is 'Craft(wo)manship and the city'. Architect Jan De Vylder, co-curator for the Belgian contribution, is feeling excited: "It's fantastic to be able to celebrate the idea of 'making' in a place like Venice. Craftmanship as BRAVOURE!"
In the Belgian pavillion BRAVOURE brings together fragments of thirteen projects by a same number of guest-architects. Through a copy of each fragment (scale 1:1) and a serie of images they will show how craftsmanship can shape space. The team members invite guests architects/designers to shape the idea of BRAVOURE. Next to designing the scenography of the exhibition, the team also wants to create the possibility to reflect on their design. Their proposal is a well formulated answer to the theme 'Craft(wo)manship and the city', that was presented by the Flanders Architecture Institute as organiser of the competition.
